About Me

Hi, I’m Lucy (she/her), a Person-Centred Counsellor living and working in Greater Manchester. I’ve been practising as a therapist since 2020. Since then, I’ve worked in different settings such as specialist counselling services for Domestic Abuse and Bereavement & Loss. I have specialist training and experience in supporting people with grief and loss, depression, trauma and difficulties in interpersonal relationships. I now work in private practice, where I support people with a range of different issues. I also offer queer, transgender and neurodiverse-affirming therapy.

As a therapist, one of my core values is offering a space free of judgement, especially for people who have experienced stigma and discrimination as a result of their identity. Whoever we are and wherever we come from, counselling is a place where we can experience radical acceptance. In time, this can help us to overcome our inner self-critic and begin to fully accept ourselves.

Whatever you are experiencing right now, you may be wondering if it’s really important enough to seek counselling. The answer is yes! Just having that sense of curiosity about yourself is a valid starting point. If you feel ready to reflect on your experiences and learn more about yourself, then counselling may be right for you.

As a therapist, I am committed to anti-oppressive practice. I uphold the ethical standards of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). You can read more about these here.
